Australian singer-songwriter Nardia steps into her most personal chapter yet with the release of her new album, Own Every Scar, arriving September 18, 2026.
Blending R&B, soul, blues and jazz with raw storytelling and powerhouse vocals, Own Every Scar is more than a collection of songs. It is an album about resilience, vulnerability, love, heartbreak, self-acceptance and finding the courage to embrace every part of the journey that has shaped you.
For Nardia, the title represents the heart of the entire project.
“Own Every Scar is about accepting everything that has happened to you, the beautiful moments, the painful ones, the mistakes, the heartbreak and the things that have made you stronger,” Nardia says. “Our scars are part of our story. Instead of hiding them, I wanted this album to celebrate them.”
An Album Made Across Continents
The story behind Own Every Scar stretches far beyond one recording studio.
Created between Melbourne, Nashville, Memphis and Los Angeles, the album brings together musicians, producers and influences from different corners of Nardia’s musical world.
The project includes collaborations with Grammy-winning producer Boo Mitchell of the legendary Royal Studios in Memphis, alongside producers Darin James and Mat Robb, with an extensive cast of Australian and American musicians contributing to the record.
From rich Memphis soul and blues to contemporary R&B, jazz and funk, the album reflects Nardia’s refusal to be confined to a single genre.
Rather than chasing one particular sound, she has created a record that feels unmistakably her own.
From Melbourne to Memphis and Beyond
Own Every Scar arrives during an exciting period in Nardia’s international career.
The Filipina-Italian Australian artist made waves in the United States after reaching the Top 5 at the 2025 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, emerging as the only female artist among the finalists after hundreds of acts competed from around the world.
Her single “Is It You” subsequently reached #1 on the Urban Influencer Independent R&B/Soul Chart in the United States and received Grammy consideration for Best R&B Song.
Nardia has continued building her presence across the U.S., performing everywhere from intimate clubs to renowned music venues and sharing her music with audiences across Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Memphis, Nashville, Chicago and beyond.
But despite that growing momentum, Own Every Scar is not an album focused on accolades.
At its core, it is about the human experiences that happen when nobody is watching.
